WHAT WE BELIEVE
We align in the spirit of Isaiah 61, we come to help bind up the brokenhearted, comfort all who mourn and provide for those who grieve in Zion:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” (Isaiah 61:1-3)
We align with the desire to bless the Jewish People:
“Yes, they were pleased to do so, and they are under obligation to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual blessings, they also ought to serve them in material blessings.” (Romans 15:27)
We align with being servants as Jesus Christ:
“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing the praises of your name.” Again, it says,“Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” (Romans 15:7-10)
We align in the understanding that the Lord loves Israel:
“Indeed, He who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade….” (Psalms 121:3-8 )
We align in the belief that it is more than faith and love, but also actions needed:
“So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead by itself.” (James 2:17)
